Leadership Workshops

Jackson Leadership Systems (JLS) conducts structured workshops for participants in a two-year Leadership Development Program. This provides an opportunity for leaders to share their successes and failures, and to learn new skills.

Time is provided during the workshop for leaders to break into groups to share their achievement of developmental goals. They also share how their coaching & mentoring relationships are enhancing their overall development as a leader. By realizing that others are experiencing similar challenges, participants are motivated to continue to take risks with new leadership behaviours.

Sessions are customized for these workshops so that the skills taught are relevant to the particular organization, and of interest to specific cohorts of participants. Leadership Workshop topics can include:

  • Motivating Others
  • Creative Problem Solving
  • Managing Change
  • Value-Based Leadership
  • Conflict Resolution

Benefits and Outcomes:

  • Increased motivation for leaders to work on developmental goals.
  • Opportunity for leaders to develop skills critical to success.
  • Shared learning among leaders of how to deal with failure.

Comments from Leadership Workshop participants:

"I’ve learned how to deal differently with failure."

"I’ve changed my expectations of myself so that I don’t expect to be perfect all of the time."

"I’ve learned to be authentic in my leadership style, always thinking about the people that I am leading – it’s my responsibility to not let them derail."
