Success Coaching:
The Most Powerful Learning Experience for Senior Leaders
When you have
top performing leaders, you want to keep them with your organization and put
them on a clear track to success. While problem performers frequently get a
lot of attention, companies often take on a less proactive role with top
performers. This leaves them vulnerable to burnout, boredom, and headhunters.
Are you doing enough to support your senior executives?
Our
Success Coaching Program provides your top
leaders with a structured approach to
assessing vision and goals, and reaching the
heights of their potential.
These
custom-tailored coaching sessions run over a
6 to 8 month time period and guarantee that
each minute of the learning process is
focused precisely on their particular
developmental needs. Together, we will:
- Evaluate
and remove any roadblocks to their success
as a leader
- Understand
the emotions and interpersonal challenges
involved in leading others
- Develop
a clear vision of the future – both
personally and professionally
- Establish
specific short term goals that support that
vision
- Build
a path that leads to those goals
- Develop
a plan to address current and future
problems
- Understand
what job experiences and situations
challenge and motivate them most
- Understand
the resources available and how to tap into
them
- Establish an effective work-life
balance
Corporate Storytelling Coaching
(60,7 kB PDF File Requires

Critical communication skills are a prerequisite for successful leadership. Dynamic communicators bring color to their presentations and are able to paint compelling pictures for their audiences. They have many tools in their toolkits, but nothing as powerful as the use of stories. Stories convey ideas more effectively and faster than any other form of communication. They are repeated and remembered far more frequently than any statistical report, because the human brain can process them more easily. In this newly developed coaching module, Jackson Leadership puts the power of "Corporate Storytelling" in your hands."
Empathic
Listening and Communication
What
is it?
It
is a structured program which will
familiarize you with the concepts of
empathic listening and help you to develop
your own listening and communications
skills, conflict management, and will
improve your overall effectiveness.
Why
do it?
Empathic
listening and communication skills have been
identified as key to effective leadership,
team cohesion and personal effectiveness. Effective listening skills can sensitize you to others’
needs and therefore build trusting
relationships at home and at work. The skills you will learn will help
you to avoid misunderstandings, be a more
productive team player, manage conflict and
engage in mutual problem solving
effectively.
How
is the program set up?
The
program consists of three sessions for you
and a partner to work through together. The sessions are facilitated by
Jackson Leadership.
How
long will it take?
The
program is designed to be carried out over a
2 to 3 month period, on your own time and
will be flexible to your personal schedule. The program will demand about 4 hours of time for you and
your partner each month. You will need to practice the skills
between sessions.
Where
do I have to go to do it?
Jackson
Leadership has developed the program to meet
the needs of leaders who we assess so the
program is designed to take place where you
are, to suit the lifestyle of busy people. You will have a facilitator to work
with you in person throughout the training
process.
Strategic
Thinking Skills Coaching
Many
emerging leaders can benefit from becoming
more facile at strategic thinking and
business planning. This module is akin to a personalized
MBA, but also has the added benefit of
connecting executives with recognized
strategic thinkers from within the
organization who can help participating
executives decide how to best apply these
concepts within their organization.
(1)
Basic
Readings on Strategic Business Thinking
“Classics” from such experts as Michael
Porter, Cynthia Montgomery, and John Kotter
These
initial readings will provide a basic
framework for thinking strategically. Following these readings, clients
meet with a Jackson consultant for 90
minutes to discuss the main points from the
meeting and how to apply them in their
day-to-day work. A summary memo of the key learnings
from the readings will be distributed
following this meeting.
(2)
Working
through 2 Harvard Business School Case
Studies
Clients
will discuss and present solutions for the
three cases in 2 separate meetings of 90
minutes each over a 2 month period (i.e., 1
per month). A Strategic Thinking expert from the
client’s company will come to one or more
of the 2 meetings and listen to the
different presentations. Afterwards, they will provide their
comments on how they would attack the case. Clients will have the chance to ask
questions of this expert during these
sessions. In this way, clients will gain from seeing how an expert
strategic thinker from their organization
attacks the same problems they have worked
on.
(3)
A
Final Strategic Business Thinking Project
which marries topic learning and practice
skills with experience in application
As
a final capstone project for this coaching
module, clients will meet with a Jackson
Leadership consultant for a final 2 hour
meeting to make a presentation on how they
will implement a new strategic initiative
within your job/workgroup based on what you
have learned throughout this module. Your company “strategic expert”
will also attend this meeting. Clients are also encouraged to
involve their supervisors that he/she can
provide clients with direct feedback on
their ideas.

Adaptive
Performance: Unleashing your Unique Answer
to Stress, Challenge, and Threat
What
is Stress and Why Is It a Problem?
Stress
is simply defined as a personally taxing
event that arises as demands overtake
resources. Applied research shows that today’s
executives report being more stressed than
ever before. Indeed, the causes and consequences
of occupational stress have become a growing
concern for organizations around the globe. A recent study by the Gallup
organization found that business units that
scored in the top quartile on aggregate
employee adaptability, well-being and work
engagement were one to four percent more
profitable, and generated $80,000-$120,000
more in monthly revenue, than business units
that scored in the bottom quartile.
The
Adaptive Performance Program: A way to
Improve Personal Effectiveness
The
Increasing
Adaptive Performance program provides leaders with a structured way
of identifying internal and external sources
of stress, the known and unknown
consequences of stress, and behaviors used
to perform under stress. Using this information, we work with
leaders to uncover insights into their
habitual reactions to stress, challenge, and
threat. Once insights have been uncovered, we
can help leaders forge new and more
effective reactions to the hectic and
demanding work and personal schedules that
challenge them each and every day. The result: a more adaptable,
higher-performing, happier executive.
The
Jackson Leadership Systems workshop is
informed by leading stress management
consultant Dr. Kate Partridge, co-researcher
and facilitator under a $2.5 million grant
initiative given by the National
Institute for Mental Health for research
into stress reduction and effectiveness.
