SURVEY FEEDBACK MEETINGS
Research shows that receiving high quality feedback is one of the most important catalysts to leadership growth. Only with clear, direct, and constructive feedback from others can leaders create a precise plan for how to improve.
To augment the quality of feedback gained from our assessments, we pioneered a process of digging deeper into 360° survey results by asking raters to meet with leaders and a JLS facilitator, to further discuss the findings. This gives raters an opportunity to clarify and explain why they rated the leader as they did. The story or narrative behind the ratings often provides much higher quality feedback to leaders compared to just knowing that they received 3.5 out of 4 on a given survey dimension. Using this technique, we have seen leaders uncover dramatic insights into their own performance, and undergo significant personal and professional changes. A leader needs courage to undertake this process, but the benefits can be considerable.
