DELEGATION ANALYSIS
Delegation is one of the most powerful ways for a leader to build their team. It empowers employees to take ownership of tasks, and fosters skill development through autonomous problem solving. But it also benefits the leader themselves. Mastering delegation prepares leaders for jobs at more senior levels within the organization. At these higher levels, leaders are expected to accomplish more but with less available time, making effective delegation a necessity.
Leaders who delegate will always accomplish more than those who refuse to let go of projects their subordinates should be doing. Delegating allows the leader to work on more strategic objectives that are in the best interests of the organization.
A Delegation Analysis is an exercise that allows a leader to determine which tasks can be delegated to others. We recommend that leaders perform a Delegation Analysis once a year.
